UNISON represents more than 1.2 million people working across all public services across the whole of the country. These range from Apprentices on their first day in the NHS to Chief Executives of big Health Trusts.

Low paid members are the backbone of our Trade Union. We know that they are often vulnerable in work and making sure they get a fair deal is critical to the work we do.

This does not stop at work, however. We know that pay freezes or below-inflation pay rises coupled with rising bills mean that members are really feeling squeezed.

That is why we have Unison "There for you" offers for all members and a range of extra support aimed at members with low incomes. This includes supporting with fuel bills and guidance with tax credits.

To help you understand this we have produced a newsletter about what is available for you.

The newsletter can be found here...

Are you are a UNISON member working at Lings Bar? If so we would like to invite you to a “Have Your Say” event that UNISON is holding your workplace.

This will be a drop-in session for UNISON members to meet UNISON Reps and to talk about how things are for them at work and how we might be able to help them.

The session will run from 3 - 4.30pm.

Please feel free to bring colleagues that are not members of a union but might wish to join, however only members can get individual advice from their Reps.

At UNISON Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Branch we believe that lifelong learning is important for all of us and a core part of the benefits of being in a Trade Union.

UNISON offers learning and training covering a wide variety of subjects. Many of the courses are subsidised or free and you may be entitled to time off work to attend them.

Our training and learning is designed to help members with their personal and career development and to help reps support our members.

UNISON East Midlands has released its training programme for the next 12 months. There is something in there for everyone!Sound interesting? Click here.
